OUTREACH

In our first year of FTC, we thought it would be a good idea if we would teach FLL Lessons. We sent out flyers and emails to our family friends and the scouts from Cub Scouts to join our sessions. We decided to break up our sessions into 3 parts which were: review, programming, and FLL concept which was a mix of building, project, and core values. For programming we talked about the robot maneuver, medium motor, and the color sensor. We had 4 sessions, and in each session two of our team members taught the lesson.

In our second year of FTC, we decided to expand on our teachings of FLL. Like last time, we taught the Cub Scouts and other family friends on how to build different mechanisms. We taught how to build pinless attachments and locking and gear mechanisms. We also included videos of how to build the mechanisms if anyone was unsure on how to build them properly or the right way.
